Service Offering 1: Comprehensive Assistance
Starts approximately 7 to 8 months before expiry
- A series of meetings is scheduled to discuss and gather agreements amendments etc. that is in place for the Customer’s current contractual relationship with Microsoft;
- An assessment is carried out of the Customer’s current contractual relationship with Microsoft and reviewed with the Customer to ensure everyone is aligned with the goals;
- An Identification of current terms and/or amendments that should be brought forward in the renewal is determined;
- During this investigation process, any mis licensing issues or misunderstandings of the product use terms are discussed and clarified. Suggestions for correcting these situations are discussed and acted upon at the discretion of the Customer;
- Net New requirements are identified and brought to the forefront for discussion and decided upon in terms of inclusion;
- The creation of an Internal Document for the Customer which outlines the concession requirements, state of importance, approach and where appropriate, the wording required to present to Microsoft in terms of a concession ask;
- Upon completion of the “Internal Use Document” the Customer vets the contents and either approves or denies each concession and the associated commentary. After the approvals have been secured the Document is then reformulated into a Microsoft “Facing list” which serves as the focus of the renewal;
- Meetings are then booked with the Customer to review Microsoft commentary and respond accordingly;
- This support continues until the deal is negotiated successfully and the Customer has confirmed the contract completed;
- At closing a summary sheet is created in terms of what went well and what didn’t in combination with some suggestions on how to deal with Microsoft as the Customer’s contract matures.
- Continued access to advice for three months regarding Microsoft Licensing Issues at no cost after the contract has been closed.
Service Offering 2: Intermediate Assistance
Starts approximately 3 to 6 months before expiry
- A brief review of the Customer’s contracts with Microsoft is made and recommendations are suggested based on the outcome of the review;
- A list of concessions required and approved by the Customer is prepared for Microsoft for their consideration.
- Meetings are then booked with the Customer to review Microsoft commentary and respond accordingly;
- This support continues until the deal is negotiated successfully and the Customer has confirmed the contract completed;
- At closing a summary sheet is created in terms of what went well and what didn’t.
Service Offering 3: Basic Assistance
Starts approximately 2 to 3 months before expiry
- Customer creates own Concession List for Microsoft upon which suggestions are provided in terms of gaining the best possible outcome;
- One meeting per week for 60 minutes is booked to discuss responses back to Microsoft and other negotiation strategies to get to end of job.
- At closing a summary sheet is created in terms of what went well and what didn’t.
Service Offering 4: Custom Assistance
No set schedules
- Customers can request specialized packages for their specific needs i.e., the licensing and negotiation of licenses for a specific project, what the possibilities are for a sale of a division or bringing on a new entity within a current Microsoft contract.
- Franchising or agent models within a Microsoft contract etc.
